Hey everyone!
I am back home for Christmas break!!! After three very long months, I got back last night around 11ish. At least that is when my flight landed..... I think I will tell my tale of yesterday....
So my day started at around 5:00 am because we had to "white glove" our room before chapel (9 am) but lucky me, I had an English exam at 7:30 am (AGH!!!) after my exam was the last chapel for the semester (big cheers all around when the bell rang!!!). After chapel it is a mad dash to get back to your room to get your check out card to leave, and to see if you passed white glove. Thankfully I got both taken care of very quickly and then I had lots of time to sit and wait....
At 12:45 pm, my driver to the airport arrived and we stuffed me, my bags, my friends, and their bags in a tiny little Toyota Corolla. Fifteen minutes later I arrived at Pensacola Airport wearing my PCC skirt and such. After about 20 minutes in line I got my bags checked and headed to the monster called "SECURITY!!!!"
When I stepped up to security I showed my boarding pass, and ID. Walked through and grabbed my stuff, all in the time span of about 5 minutes..... not bad huh?
I then made a bee-line to the Women's Bathrrom to change into sweatpants!! It was rather interesting to sit and watch all the PCC girls head straight for the bathroom wearing skirts and about 5 minutes later coming back out in pants. Anyways, I then got a turkey sandwich and a bottle of water ($10 for both...) it was ok, but not the best, especially for the price.
At 4:30 pm CST I boarded my little bitty plane for Atlanta National Airport. I swear, on the whole flight there was only 3 people who were not PCC students....
6:45ish EST I landed in Atlanta to find that I was only a few gates away from where my next flight would depart! I realized then that I was famished, odd since I had eaten a sandwich earlier, but it wasn't really filling so I headed to Pizza Hut Express. Unfortunately my pizza was doughy (eww) I went to exchange it but that was doughy too, so I gave up and ate my breadsticks.
Since my flight did leave until 9:15 I was very fidgety and decided to walk up and down the airport terminal. So I grabbed my ipod and cell phone and started my journey. It was really interesting to see all the people. There were lots of soldiers and it was amazing to see them and think about all that they have sacrificed for our freedom. So around my third lap around the terminal I decided to stop for a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cone.
While I was in line a guy came up to me and said "hey, how are you?" Being a little creeped out I was like "Fine and you?" Then he just added to the creepiness and said, "I'm cute too thanks for asking...." Let me just say, at that moment in time I was about to punch someone's face in, so I looked at the lady behind the counter and said "ew!" and glared at him. He got the picture and left, I then realized how much I appreciate the guys at PCC. They are definately gentlemen, and they need to teach that creep a lesson.... (Sorry about that little rant, but that just really bugged me.)
Anyways, I got my Butter Pecan in a waffle cone (no, there was no Cherry Garcia...) and started out on my little journey again, as I got back to my gate, it was about fifteen minutes til boarding so I sat and finished my ice cream.
At approximately 8:45ish, I got on an even smaller airplane, at the very back, right by the bathroom... But since I was so close to home I didnt' even care! Thankfully one of my friends from school had a seat next to me so we sat and played Rubic's Cube and Sudoku throughout the flight. (yes I'm a nerd I know, but he is a Pre-Med major, so that's an even bigger nerd!!) He also asked me advice about this girl that he likes. It is rather amusing actually, quite a few people ask me for advice about relationships, which is funny, considering I'm waiting God out for my relationship. But apparantly I give good advice, so I guess, I'm the next Dr. Phil... (Dr. Phyllis??)
So my flight landed at 10:45 pm and I turned on my phone to call Mom and I got a text message from them saying that they were about 35 minutes late. That made me sad, but I figured I couldn't do anything about it so I would get my bags and wait for them by the entrance.
As I was walking to through the terminal exit, I saw a big bunch of pink and purple balloons and pink signs saying welcome home. and Zach, WOW, he is so great! He was there in his suit and tie and sunglasses with my name on a sign like he was my driver... I LOVE MY LITTLE BROTHER!!!!!! Yes they did trick me with the text message.... I guess I am really gullible...
After waiting 45 minutes for my bags we were finally in the car and arrived home at 1:00 am... Of course Mom and I stayed up chatting until 3 and then I finally crashed into bed!
Well sorry for that novel, but I have to make up for 3 months of not posting... Anyways, dinner is ready and I am going to go eat in JEANS!!!!
Thanks for all your prayers!

You never really appreciate your jeans like you should until you go to a Christian college. ;-) I remember my first mid-break movie at the theater, and knowing that it was not demerit-worthy! We are so glad to have you home for a little while. We missed you!
Ashley, I can totally relate to your whole "rant"! It's amazing what things you'll find over break that you really missed while you were away. WELCOME HOME!!!
